  • Contact & early access form data: first name, last name, email, institution / company, phone (optional), research application, current ECM, inquiry type and message content.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected via cookies and analytics.
  • Cookies: small text files stored on your device. See section 6 below.

3. How we use your data

  • To respond to your inquiries and ship early access kits and protocols.
  • To improve our website performance and user experience.
  • To comply with legal obligations.
  • For marketing communications, only with your explicit consent.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

We process personal data based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), to perform a contract or take pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)), and on the basis of our legitimate business interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).

5. Sharing & third parties

We use trusted third-party providers for hosting, database, analytics and email delivery. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements. We do not sell your personal data.

We use essential cookies required for the site to function, and (with your consent) analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use our website. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies via the cookie banner displayed on your first visit, and change your preference at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site.

7. Data retention

Contact form and early access submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and support your pilot, and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping, typically up to 3 years.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@stemgel.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. For Berlin, this is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (BlnBDI).
